Summer in the City #2 ... August 2014

Recovering posts

More photos of down town on the Monday of the holiday weekend (August 4th).  The whale watching boats seemed to have sufficient passengers to keep them busy.  This pedicab driver is getting a break.  I liked the shadow in that photo and darkened it.  It was a very hot day with strong sunlight.  The Tally Ho and other horse carriages were busy too.

We have finally had about a half inch of rain, and it has cooled down a bit.  The Island has been in a drought for the last month, with very hot temperatures.

Yesterday we had our first fig of the year for dessert.  We are also eating yellow plums.  We have tons of them and I have been canning some for plum sauce.
