Home again

We are home from our camping trip to the US SW on March 13.  It was a very good trip with The White Sands Desert, Death Valley, and the Space Museum being a few of the highlights.
I am unable to access my user account files on my computer.  I am  working from the new user that my windows XP is letting me use. It is my same user account, it just won't let me access all the stuff.  Its very strange, since my computer was turned off when  we left on the 17 Feb., and would not boot up properly when I got home.  I still have all my files  it seems.  I am just unable to access them.  I can navigate around on this uploader  on line, though, to find photos  I was working on, and had left on my desktop.   I have been thinking about getting a new computer, so I might as well  take this opportunity ... so my Techie is going to be loading one for me with plenty of hard drive  as well as backup and extra storage drives, windows 7, etc.  I cannot view my photos from  the trip and don;t want to mess about with things I know nothing about to try to see them.  Its frustrating .

Hello Maggie!
I just wanted to let you know that I've just had the best time wandering through your blog! Thank you!

I had been rambling around the internet trying to identify the migratory ducks that show up twice a year on the lake in Connecticut that I live on (Candlewood Lake), and who are out there right now incidentally, and I stumbled upon your picture of the Common Merganser duck you posted a few years ago (which is what my ducks here are, as it turned out).

Well, that brought me to your blog, and here I still am an hour later!

You sound cool and interesting and I'm going to bookmark your site hoping to have time going forward to come back to see what you're up to.

Speaking of "catastrophic climatic spots, as well as settling political unrest and injustice" (lifted from your Christmas/New Year's post) it's been quite a week for all that, eh?

(although I live in the States, I'm Canadian with a sister in Surrey and a brother in Vancouver, hence the 'eh')

Between the catastrophe in Japan and now, especially as of today, the stuff going on in Libya, for example, your words from that post seem quite apropos!

Btw, the picture of your lady slipper you posted on Feb. 16th this year is even more beautiful than the one you posted three years ago! Nice.

Best regards!

Thank you for the wonderful comment on my blog.

So, when are you going to start your own blog? If I can do it, anyone can. Let me know when you are started!
