Alberta bound

Alkaline deposits in an S curve. Wouldn't this be a terrific sunset spot? Too bad we had no time to stop.
The Saamis Teepee is a roadside attraction located in Medicine Hat, Alberta. It is the largest teepee in the world standing giant 215 Feet (65.5 Metres) and was originally built for the 1988 Winter Olympics that were held in Calgary Alberta as a symbol of Canada's native heritage.
These deer were along the roadside, as we turned into the Medicine Hat, Alberta, information center, where we stopped for lunch.
This structure was across the road from the Maple Creek Junction where we stopped for gas.
Golden fields at the end of July. I am not sure what the crop is.

The cows in the sage. I like the slant of the railroad track. I believe the coes are perpendicular.

Rolling hills of Southwestern Sask and southeastern Alta. is primarily ranching country and oil industry.

August 1st - Swift Current to Pincher Creek, Alberta. This was another good travel day. The showers at the campsite last night were coin-op but very good showers. We stopped at Maple Creek Junction to get fuel. Next stop was Medicine Hat information center for lunch. Eggs, ham and cheese in a bun.

Running back to Saskatoon 3

On July 21 on our trip back to Saskatchewan, going from Edmonton to Saskatoon, we had our afternoon coffee break stop at the view point overlooking the North Saskatchewan river. We called Gerry and Bev and let them know we were on schedule and would see them in a couple of hours.

I am getting some good prairie scenes photos this trip.

At home we are having some gorgeous weather. I have started to get the house cleaned up and ready for our guests in September. Its not really terribly dusty or messy, so it is not that big of a chore. It just magnifies in my head as a big chore because I hate vacuuming and dusting. Its a never ending chore. I am having plums with my cereal in the morning. They are sooooo good.

Amsterdam, Holland - June 1, 2008

These photos are from the area of the cheese factory we visited on our day trip. Unfortunately, I have no photos of the cheeses. All of us busloads of tourists were crammed into a room to listen to the lecture. I could see nothing but the coats of the people around me. We were then crammed through the lines where we were suppose to be able to taste these cheeses. Well, some pig in the line would not move along but stood in one place eating all the samples available. Needless to say, the rest of us had no opportunity to taste or even see the cheeses. By the time we got past the pig in the narrow lines, it was time for our bus to leave for the next stop on the tour.
