July 19, 20 of our trip to the Prairies:
After our drive along the Yellowhead we arrive at John and Colleen's home late afternoon. Colleen has prepared a porkchop casserole dinner and we have a tour of their home. They have finished the renovations to their home, now also. It seems that our age group is in the midst of home renovations and plans for downsizing. After our scrumptious dinner we enjoy more visiting till 11:30-ish.
July 20th
We have a scrumptious bacon and egg casserole for breakfast and then are off to the Devonian Botanical Gardens. There are 190 acres with a wetland perserve, eco preserve, Kurimoto Japanese garden, and much more. See the hotlink above for more information.
We take an hour or two to tour the Japanese gardens with quite a lot of photos. ..... more to follow...

At home:
Yesterday was a gorgeous day. I walked back from the lab at the Royal Oak mall, after my blood tests. I had my camera but did not find anything to shoot, as I have walked this path quite a few times.
In my garden the yellow plums are almost ready to eat. The purple plums have all dropped off the tree. Maybe next year I will be at home to keep up its water schedule. There are some blackberries ready for picking in the bushes across the road. Our fig tree has tiny green figs that won't ripen in time. The vegetable garden is just not working at all. It might have to become a 'cutting' garden.
