Blue Glass

One of a few of my blue glass collection that I shot the other day. The borders on the side are from the window display boards that the glass sits between. Ambient light.

On Friday Andrew from the Sheriff's office phoned and told me that I do not have to go to the Court House on Monday for the Jury Panel picking. Apparently the case has been resolved. All 200 of us don't have to be bothered to go stand around for nothing now. Yippee. I don't understand why juror makes $10.00 a day for the priveledge of 'serving' while lawyers make $10.00 per .5 second for defending or prosecuting a case. The law is an ass for sure.

So, now I have my appointment with Dr. C. this week and then we are free to plan our trip down south in the Dodge Lodge... New Mexico here we come.

Audree has had her operation and is doing great. Marianne is recovering after her accident. Thank heavens.

I have spent some time reworking the colors on my web page. I think it looks better without the yellow. Not a big change, but an improvement, I think.

Some old stuff

This is an old photo from 2002, complete with glitzy frame, that I was going to use in a presentation on photo.net at that time. The presentation is long since deleted but I enjoyed making this old presentation and so, I am going to load it to my web page, with a few recent additions to round out the album.

I got distracted from doing my Scotland and Ireland travel album for my website. I downloaded my recent photos. While dust binning the duplicates or trash ones, I got involved in doing follow up on a shot I did for an album I am calling Homework. This was originally made for a presentation on photo.net that I named 'Women's Work", long since deleted. In looking at the old photos from 2002, I see I was using a lot of the frames, made with my old Paintshop Pro program. So, I decided to finish that album before continueing with the Scotland/Ireland trip.

Drop Shadows in Paintshop Pro

I spent an hour or two playing with the skew tool and the drop shadow effect in my old Paintshop Pro photo editor. I still use the PSP as it is more familiar to me than my PS CS. My drop shadows still need a bit of work. The skew tool needs a lot of work. I shall put this endeavor on the shelf for a while, until I get more work finished on my web page.
