In the beginning . . . 2014

Recovering lost posts
something from the museum from a few years ago.
A sally light footed crab from our trip to the Galapagos in 2010.
Another one from our 2010 trip.  This one is of Guano Island, Peru.  Its a wildlife reserve.  There are so many birds that they harvest the guano.  I guess it helps them maintain the Reserve.
Another layer masking combination of the bokeh and the bird of paradise flower.

Today, I sold my Hasselblad to Kerrisdale Cameras where I get a credit to use to buy camera stuff I might want from them.  I spent the rest of the afternoon taking the Hasselblad stuff off of my old web page.  So, as time goes by, my old page evolves a bit too.  It would be good if I could get the August gardening album finished.  And maybe the Galapagos travel logue finished this year.   I have hosting space from Godaddy.  I want to learn to use my word press on my new domain on this space, this year, too.  Big plans... will see how much I actually get done!  I am nearly finished the Garden Rooms page where I set up the garden walks and page 3 will be the albums for the changes in the garden each year.  The lists for the travel and the car events are useful to look up any questions we have about where we went each year.  I still have no idea what I might do with the Guestbook page, since the free guestbook is going to disappear.
The robins were around the garden in great flocks a few days ago and cleaned up the berries on the holly tree and the firethorn.  The birds have cleaned up most of the apples that I left out on the garden too.  The flickers have been finding bugs in the vegetable patch/cutting garden.  There has been a pair of jays around, but I have not got a good photo of them.
